Mrs Slocombe on Are You Being Served?

One of the classic sit coms of the 70s, when you could make harmless innuendo such as the above (which is paraphrasing the sort of things Mr Slocomb would say) referring, of course, to her cat - not sure if you could get away with stuff like that now.

And it was quite charming the way that Mr Humphries was always assumed to be gay, but it was never stated - he had both lady friends and gentlemen friends (most of whom appear to be in the ballet) and I always thought he had a 'special relationship' with Mrs Slocombe, though it was all subtly done.

They tried a follow-up series with Grace & Favour, but it never quite had the same popularity.
